Customer brought in a pretty decent Kawi Z1-B yesterday. Its a bit of a mismatch as the bike is a 75 but the motor is a 74. Our base for this complete refurbishment will actually be a 76 KZ900 frame that is already powdercoated and ready to build on. Engine needs some attention also, more on that later probably.

This is the start of a customer project. Sounds like it going to be a full on custom bobber build. The bike was already a 70's hardtailed chopper. The story on the engine was that is was rebuilt 30+ years ago and then parked. I cracked it open to have a look. I can confirm, not many miles since the rebuild and all looks good so far. Lots of polished aluminum and powdercoat for this build.
