Scrambler Cycle

to bad its the middle of Winter....

Changed the oil.  Cleaned and set the points. New plugs. Set the valve clearances. Figured out the wiring. took the carbs apart and gave those a cleaning. Battery and a little gas and it came to life.  No idea how long this one has sat idle. Its always a great feeling to start something up for the first time.

I just wish it wasn't December in Wisconsin. I want to get this thing ready for the road.

The first time I saw this Laverda SF2 I wasn't sure what to think. Who would have someone paint an Italian beauty in such a way?  Anyway, the short term goal is to see if its a runner. It may be up for sale after that. Not sure what to do about the paint. I was thinking about seeing if some paint stripper will lift the top layer to find the original paint underneath. I have my doubts though. Then again, I'm not sure I have the heart to try.
